Grants

The Grant Fund is designed to enable individual Champlain College students and other campus organizations to participate in an activity that would otherwise be unfeasible. Grant funding may be used for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, conference attendance, campus events, or community engagement. Funding is intended to support current Champlain students and organizations and so benefit of the activity must be realized by students enrolled in the current or subsequent academic year (if the activity occurs between academic years).

Though the SGA supports all efforts of the students, do remember that not all proposals can be funded due to budgetary limitations. This in mind, it is important to provide a detailed budget breakdown for your proposal that shows ample consideration of limiting costs, and establishing the best benefit per dollar. It is also encouraged that students seek out support in other areas as well, rather than relying on the SGA as the sole funders.

The SGA reserves the right to attach conditions to the grant award in order to ensure compliance with College policies or enhance the benefit to the student body.

To apply for a grant, please answer the following questions in detail. Attach an overall budget breakdown and identify your specific funding request for this grant. Also, be sure to allow 72 hours for processing.

This semester grants will be assessed bi-weekly on 1/22, 2/5, 2/19, 3/5, 3/19, 4/2, and  4/9.

The Grant Fund for this academic year has closed. Thank you for you interest, and we look forward to supporting the student body in the upcoming year.
